Ministry Teams

We were created with the desire to serve. We believe that God has given each of us gifts and abilities that have the potential to make a difference in the lives of people in our church, our community, and in the world. By serving others, we demonstrate the love of Jesus for our world. Listed below are volunteer opportunities at Mountain Valley Church. We would love to connect you with a Ministry Team. Please contact our Ministry Leaders or stop by the Connection Center with any questions or to volunteer.

Cafe Ministry

Our cafe Ministry team serves in a variety of ways. They staff the coffee bar on Sunday mornings. They organize and serve Tuesday night cafe dinners during the Spring and Fall. They organize and serve special meals such as our fabulous Easter breakfast. Have you always wanted to be a barista? The Cafe Ministry team might be the place for you. No experience is necessary. They will train you. You will need to complete the Safe Food Handling training and test prior to serving in the cafe. Please inquire at the Connection Center if you are interested in joining the Cafe team.

First Watch Ministry

First Watch is a ministry designed to have a team of partners dedicated to keeping a closer eye on the flock at Mountain Valley Church by actively and intentionally protecting them. This ministry is open to men, women, and young adults 16 years or older. Are you observant, unflappable, and good in an emergency? Do you have police or military training? We need you! This ministry allows you to serve on other ministry teams as well. If you have a desire to serve on First Watch, please sign up at the Connection Center or contact David Cawood (505-610-7100 [call or text] or email David@DavidCawood.com).

Greeters Ministry

The Greeters are the face of Mountain Valley Church. These are the people that visitors generally encounter first. Are you friendly and welcoming? Do you like connecting with newcomers? Then, you may have what it takes to be a greeter. Please contact Jim or Monica Blaschke for more information or sign up at the Connection Center.
