Our Beliefs

The Baptist Faith and Message is what we ascribe to, as a statement of our faith and practice. It is guide to serve as foundational message of what we feel Scripture teaches on the issues contained in that document. We are Baptists for 2 primary reasons. First, and most important, we feel the theological issues expounded upon and taught in the BF&M contain clarity to our faith and practice, and are based solely upon God's Word. And Scripture is the ultimate authority for what we believe.

Second, we associate with the Southern Baptist Convention, because it has the largest missionary network, local and globally. The gifts of local churches like ours, allows us to share the love of Jesus, throughout the world. We are able to send missionaries to various places around the world.

You become a Southern Baptist by uniting with a Southern Baptist church, one in friendly cooperation with the general Southern Baptist enterprise of reaching the world for Christ. Typically church membership is a matter of receiving Jesus as your Savior and Lord and experiencing believer's baptism by immersion.

Southern Baptists have prepared a statement of generally held convictions called The Baptist Faith and Message. It serves as a guide to understanding who they are. Copies are available at Southern Baptist churches. The topics here provide only a brief, partial summary. The full text on the issue discussed is also available on this website.
