Jamie Duke is the Family Pastor at Mountain Valley Church. Jamie was born and raised in Truth or Consequences, NM. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from New Mexico State University in 1995 and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary in 2000. God made it clear to Jamie at the age of 21 that he was called to full-time ministry. He has served for the last 25 years in New Mexico and Texas as an associate pastor in a variety of roles (youth, college, and family ministries, small groups, worship, discipleship, and Christian education), as a senior pastor, and as a church planter.

Jamie is passionate about discipleship and raising up Christian leaders. Jamie and his wife, Melissa, met at the Baptist Student Union at NMSU. They have been married since August, 1995. They have three incredible children:  Emily, Ryan, and Megan. They also have two loyal dogs. Jamie loves home improvement, working outdoors, mountain biking, hiking, and following the Texas Rangers. Being raised in southern New Mexico, he has grown to love both red and green chile.
